Finland 14-Days travel itinerary

Day 1: Helsinki


Start your trip in the capital city of Helsinki. Take a stroll down the famous Esplanadi Boulevard and enjoy some Finnish cuisine at one of the many restaurants and cafes in the area.


Day 2: Tampere


On day two, take a train or drive to the city of Tampere, located about 2 hours north of Helsinki. Tampere is known for its beautiful lakes, parks, and museums. Day 3: Turku

Day 4-5: Åland Islands


Take a ferry from Turku to the Åland Islands, an autonomous region of Finland located between Finland and Sweden. Day 6: Rovaniemi

Visit Santa Claus Village and meet the man himself, or take a reindeer or husky sled ride through the stunning winter landscape.


Day 7-8: Saariselkä


Travel further north to Saariselkä, a small village located in the heart of Finnish Lapland. Saariselkä is known for its stunning natural scenery, including the Urho Kekkonen National Park and the Northern Lights. Take a guided snowmobile tour through the park, or go on a Northern Lights hunting excursion to see one of the world's most stunning natural phenomena.


Day 9-10: Kuusamo


Travel further north to Kuusamo, located near the Russian border. Kuusamo is known for its beautiful forests, lakes, and rivers, as well as its winter sports activities. Visit the Ruka Ski Resort, one of the best ski resorts in Finland, and go downhill skiing, snowboarding, or cross-country skiing.


Day 11-12: Oulu


Travel west to the city of Oulu, located on the Gulf of Bothnia. Oulu is known for its beautiful waterfront, parks, and museums. Visit the Tietomaa Science Center, which features interactive exhibits about science and technology, and explore the beautiful Hupisaaret Park, which features several islands connected by footbridges.


Day 13: Porvoo


Travel back south to the city of Porvoo, located about an hour east of Helsinki. Porvoo is known for its beautiful old town, which features cobblestone streets, colorful wooden houses, and stunning views of the river. Visit the Porvoo Cathedral, one of the oldest buildings in Finland, and explore the many shops and cafes.

Day 14: Helsinki


Return to Helsinki for your last day in Finland. Spend the day exploring any sights you may have missed on your first day, or revisit some of your favorite spots from earlier in the trip. Make sure to try some Finnish specialties like reindeer stew or traditional Karelian pies.
